Tintern Abbey

The Tintern Abbey is an Medieval Abbey in Wales, constructed from 1131 to 1536. It's tagged Ruins.

The Dissolution of the Monasteries by Henry the VIII in 1536 ended christian monasticims in England and many of the Abbeys run by monks become ruins. Tintern Abbey is quite possible the most famous tuined abbey in the United Kingdom. Over 70,000 tourist visit the ruin each year.
