This young woman is Corisande Armandine Léonie Sophie de Gramont. Corisande would have been around 18 years old when she sat for this this quiet, charming portrait by by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun. A few years later Corisande married Charles Augustus, the 5th Earl of Tankerville in 1806, and a little over 200 years after that the portrait sold for $122,000 USD to a private collector.
