Crystal Flowers: Poems and a Libretto

— Sad poems from a strange artist

A strange little collection of parlour poems by the shy painter Florine Stettheimer. Florine made extrordinary dreamlike paintings, though rarely showed them — similarly, she never published her poems, and it was only after her death that Ettie Stettheimer, her sister, compiled and published this slim volume. The poems range from childlike to obtuse, and occasionally, like We Flirted, very sad.
